POLITICAL EXPERIENCE

I have 15 years experience working in King County with direct communication to City & County Council Members, County Executives, Unions, Animal Advocacy groups, Concerned Citizens, and Youth Advocates.

I have written and enforced King County code relating to Animal Control and Licensing, and have extensive experience facilitating communication between King County Government and the public who access its services; working to streamline processes for maximum efficiency, hosting planning and development sessions; bridging the gap between government and private citizens; making many programs that were once far-removed accessible to everyone.

My track record of working with government and community leaders from the Democratic, Republican, and Independent parties to recognize, address, and act on public concerns is a testimony to the positive change I will bring to King County Council Position No. 8.  The strong support I have received from these same leaders shows my ability to work with all political parties to find the best solution to the problems that are plaguing King County.

Because I’m not beholden to powerful special interests, I can promise to represent the families, citizens and businesses fairly and completely.  I will look at all of the facts and weigh both short and long term effects of my decisions before enacting laws that effect the community that I represent.
